ABOUT
I operate where problems are ambiguous, ownership is shared, and early decisions have long-term consequences. My role is to create clarity early—setting direction, shaping constraints, and helping teams make decisions that scale.
HOW I OPERATE
I partner closely with product and engineering to identify where design effort will have outsized impact. I look for moments like first impressions, system boundaries, and decision bottlenecks—places where clarity can change outcomes across teams.
FOCUS ON LEVERAGE
JUDGMENT OVER VOLUME
Craft matters, but judgment matters more. I spend time on framing, tradeoffs, and sequencing: when to systematize vs. customize, when to move fast vs. raise the bar, and where constraints will protect quality long after launch.
I gravitate toward work that compounds—design systems, onboarding frameworks, and reusable patterns. I care deeply about what happens after launch: how work is maintained, extended, and understood by teams who weren’t there at the start.
DESIGN SYSTEMS THAT SURVIVE
BE PRAGMATIC ABOUT AI
I use AI where it meaningfully improves outcomes and constrain it where it undermines trust or quality. The most durable solutions I’ve shipped combine generative capabilities with strong design systems and explicit quality standards.
INFLUENCE THROUGH ALIGNMENT
Much of my impact comes from helping teams align—making tradeoffs explicit, facilitating decisions across functions, and reducing friction without diluting standards. I aim to raise the bar while keeping teams moving.
SWEAT THE FIRST IMPRESSION
Early moments matter. Onboarding, activation, and initial confidence often determine whether a product succeeds at all, so I treat these experiences as strategic—not cosmetic.
BUILD TO LAST
I prioritize work that holds up: systems, principles, and decisions that continue to pay off over time. If something can’t scale or be maintained, I push to rethink it. (That being said, I do love a scrappy experiment.)
